The late Brian Noakes
Back in 2010 I purchased a box of 35mm slides from Sarah Noakes, daughter of the late Brian. Some of Brian's work had already been sold to the Transport Treasury but these eighty-seven original slides were a later discovery. Sarah told me that her late father never belonged to any railway society but was good at blagging his way into difficult locations. He lived in the Midlands and travelled all over the UK taking his camera wherever he went. Just look at the wonderful shots taken inside the shed at St,Margarets of 60004 and 60955
This shot of Brian was taken at Oxley shed around 1965. Thanks Brian for leaving us such wonderful images from those glory days.
